Pronunciation Work Using Pinyin Chart
My notes
Using the interactive Pinyin Table, you can practice your pronunciation, if you have somebody to study with you can even make it a little game by asking them to randomly click on a tone, and you have to guess, which it was. The limitations of how this tool can be used is only up to your imagination.
I came back to the interactive pinyin chart repeatedly whenever I was uncertain about a tone combination or pronunciation pairing — faster than pulling up a video and more specific than a general search. I also used it with a study partner in a game format where one person clicks randomly and the other has to produce the sound, which turned pronunciation review into something closer to a reflex test than a study session. The interactivity is the whole point: passive exposure to pinyin sounds doesn't train the same thing as having to produce them on demand.
