Story-format content — good for listening practice with narrative context, which helps with retention of new vocabulary.
Story format is underrated as a listening practice vehicle because narrative gives you semantic context that helps with unknown vocabulary — if you know what's happening in the story, you can often infer a word you've never encountered before. I found the story format also held my attention better than topic-based content, which made sessions longer without feeling more effortful. Good for building both listening endurance and in-context vocabulary acquisition.
